Finding a Lesson in Toy Story 3

Today I watched Toy Story 3 for the first time. I enjoyed the movie a lot, and it was a great finish to the series. But, putting aside the nogalistic feelings we get from watching a childhood favorite, I found the movie to have a much deeper feel to it. And though I don't believe it was intended, I found a lesson about God and life itself in it.

Before I go any further, it's common courtesy to notify you that if you haven't watched Toy Story 3 yet, and you wish to do so, you may not want to continue reading this post as it contains spoilers.

An Analogy of Love?

As promised, here's a random thought I had a day or two ago. What's a good analogy for love? I'm not sure why this came to mind, I think someone gave one; however, if that's the case, I forget what it was. After thinking on it a bit, I believe I've found a pretty decent analogy, as well as a bit of a lesson to go along with it. Can you hear it? Sure!

When you start to love something, whether it be a person, pet, or even a object, it becomes a light to you; a light off in the distance. So naturally, you're have multiple lights all around you. However, the more you love something, the closer you move to it, and the brighter that light gets. As that light gets brighter and brighter, you're going to find it starts outshining the other lights, to the point where you may not even be able to see them anymore.

Hello There!

I'm glad you've decided to visit my blog! I would like to introduce the blog, and it's purpose. First things first, the name.

The name, "Let Me be a Light!" is pretty self explanatory. Basically, my hope for this blog would be to show the love of Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour to anyone that reads it. I'm truly excited to be able to share my faith, and my thoughts with those of you that will read this. My main purpose of this blog is to simple blog about the things I think about everyday; whether it be a scripture, an idea, or even a problem  (which may even have a solution at the end!)

I hope that whether you're madly in love with Christ, struggling to follow Him, or don't believe or even with to believe, you'll get something out of this blog. My job isn't to change your mind, or even show you something new; but it's to open up your mind to ideas and possibilities, and get you thinking, God will take it from there.

Please, enjoy this blog, continue to read it, and comment with your thoughts. Thanks, and God bless!
